Aftermath of a powerful Chiang Mai summer storm made headlines as a significant gateway arch collapsed at the Bo Sang traffic lights intersection, causing damage to a red sedan and nearby structures.
This incident, occurring at the entrance to the Bo Sang Kaeng Jorng village and in front of the Bo Sang Umbrella Handicraft Centre in Ban Bo Sang, Tambon Ton Pao, San Kamphaeng district, Chiang Mai, left a trail of destruction in its wake. Emergency services and local officials swiftly mobilized, working tirelessly through the night to clear debris and restore normalcy to the area.

This coordinated effort involved a multitude of stakeholders, including municipal officials from Ton Pao town, the local rescue foundation, community leaders, village heads, and the deployment of a crane from Highways District 2.

KhaoSod reported that the local municipality had been tasked with overseeing further repair works to ensure the area’s swift recovery from the unexpected upheaval caused by the arch’s collapse in the wake of the Chiang Mai summer storm.
