Umbrella operator sparks outrage on Jomtien Beach

The residents of Jomtien Beach along with a number of other tourists consistently lamented when certain people who offered their services by renting the beach umbrellas were believed to be monopolizing the public parking.

Regulatory Authority has been very swift to address the situation resulting in the public concerns about the operators’ behavior wast, so Deputy Mayor Wuthisak Rermkijakarn has stepped in.

When the news of this incident hit the front page, the Deputy Mayor himself rushed to the scene on a Tuesday, March 12, 2015 to personally look at what was going. This proves that the administration is deeply concerned with the safety and free access to the roads for the general public without any commercial greed.

Wuthisak rose again to speak up for Pattaya City which he is adamant that fair and lawful beach operations may only be ensured by Pattaya City, as the city is devoted to the protection of people’s rights and access of residents and visitors alike as reported by Pattaya Mail.

The government called for public action and thus Wuthisak suggested that individuals should report cases of wrongdoing committed by umbrella pavilion owners to the contact center, 1337.
