Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Suwinthawong Road in Bangkok
A tragic motorcycle accident unfolded today, March 24, on Suwinthawong Road near the Harajuku curve in Bangkok, claiming a life. The incident occurred when a motorcycle collided with a parked pickup, resulting in the rider’s demise.
The accident on Suwinthawong Road in Bangkok saw the motorcycle rider tragically killed after being run over by another vehicle.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Somkuan Nasommai of the Suwinthawong Police Station was promptly notified of the fatal accident. Responders from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation rushed to the scene to offer assistance.
Upon their arrival, rescue workers found the pickup driver, Pradit, aged 70, injured and distressed. Pradit’s vehicle had been struck by the motorcycle, identified as a Honda Click with Chachoengsao license plates, while parked due to a breakdown. Pradit was subsequently transferred to Vajira Hospital for treatment.

At the accident site, emergency personnel discovered the body of Suphan, a 40-year-old from Saladaeng, Bang Nam Priao district, Chachoengsao, lying in the middle of the road. Suphan had sustained severe head injuries and multiple fractures as a result of the motorcycle accident on Suwinthawong Road.
At the scene of the motorcycle accident on Suwinthawong Road in Bangkok, emergency responders discovered the body of Suphan, a 40-year-old resident of Saladaeng, Bang Nam Priao district, Chachoengsao, lying in the middle of the road.
Suphan had sustained severe head injuries and multiple fractures in the tragic incident.
Following the initial collision with Pradit’s vehicle, it was revealed that Suphan was subsequently struck by another pickup driven by Patiphan, who was attempting to overtake and was unaware of hitting a person until he stopped to review his dashcam footage.
Suphan, who worked as a truck driver, often rode his motorcycle back to Chachoengsao after parking his employer’s truck in Lampakchi.
Patiphan, the driver of the second pickup, explained that he was heading home to Chon Buri province when he unexpectedly collided with something. It was only after a motorcyclist named Supha, aged 23, alerted him to the tragic incident that he became aware.
Eyewitnesses, including Supha, recalled seeing Suphan’s motorcycle scrape against Pradit’s parked vehicle before he became motionless on the road. Shortly after, Patiphan’s pickup inadvertently ran over Suphan.
Upon hearing the news, the victim’s sister rushed to the scene and was overwhelmed with grief upon seeing her brother’s body, as reported by KhaoSod.
Initial police investigations led to both drivers, Pradit and Patiphan, being brought to Suwinthawong Police Station for further scrutiny to ascertain the exact cause of the accident and to initiate legal proceedings.
The family of the deceased was advised to contact the hospital to make arrangements for claiming Suphan’s body for religious rites.
