German wielding knives and axe sparks panic in Phuket
In a tranquil corner of Phuket, pandemonium erupted when a German national brandished knives and an axe, sending shockwaves through the neighborhood and authorities alike. The incident unfolded in Soi Naya, Village No. 1, Rawai Subdistrict, Chalong District, leaving residents shaken in their homes.

Upon arrival, tensions soared as the suspect, identified as 64-year-old Georg, a German national, barricaded himself inside his home, hurling threats and objects at the officers. In related incidents, a Portuguese woman refused to pay a taxi fare and brandished a knife at a female driver at a hotel in Phuket’s Rawai neighborhood. The 35-year-old driver shared a video of the encounter on social media platforms to alert other drivers in the area.
Furthermore, local authorities successfully subdued a disoriented man exhibiting erratic and aggressive behavior with a knife in Soi Thappraya 12, near Pattaya Park, on March 24. Initially caught off guard, municipal officers were promptly reinforced by a specialized police task force equipped with riot control gear.
