In a heartbreaking turn of events, a waste collector in Bangkok discovered the lifeless body of a newborn baby girl yesterday. The infant, wrapped in a towel and concealed in a black bag inside a blue rubbish bin, was found in Soi Inthamara 22, Din Daeng district. Authorities are now intensifying their investigation into this distressing case.
Inspector Pitak Kaewkamhan from Sutthisan Police Station was alerted to the scene around 8 p.m. last night.

He was accompanied by forensic experts, a medical professional from Rama Hospital, and volunteers from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation.

Preliminary observations suggest that the baby was abandoned shortly after birth.

Forensic officers collected evidence from the scene before transporting the body to the Police General Hospital for an autopsy.
