Last night in the Sriracha district of Chon Buri, two individuals committed a gruesome act by severing the arm of a Thai man. This horrific incident occurred after the victim confronted the assailants for smoking cigarettes outside his liquor store.

The Sriracha Police Station received reports of the knife attack at the liquor store around 8 a.m. on April 1. Upon arrival, they encountered Daraporn, a 39-year-old Thai woman, who revealed that the victim was her boyfriend, Panitarn, also 39. Panitarn was swiftly taken to Queen Savang Vadhana Memorial Hospital for urgent medical attention.

According to Daraporn’s account of the incident, she and Panitarn were seated in front of the store when two attackers arrived on a motorcycle. Without warning, one of them viciously severed Panitarn’s left arm.

In a panic, Daraporn and Panitarn fled the scene, clutching Panitarn’s severed limb as they sought refuge. Their desperate escape led them to seek help from locals along the way. Fortunately, a resident from the area intervened, prompting the attackers to flee. Despite the police’s diligent efforts to track down the perpetrators, they managed to evade capture.

Daraporn speculated that the attack was in retaliation to Panitarn’s earlier admonishment of the assailants for smoking near the shop.

Additionally, Daraporn recounted that prior to the attack, the two assailants had halted outside their shop to observe the aftermath of a nearby motorcycle accident. While there, they were smoking, prompting Panitarn to confront them and request they cease smoking.

According to Channel 7, the attackers abandoned their motorcycle, a grey Honda Sonic, which lacked a registration plate, at the scene of the stabbing and fled on foot.

Law enforcement authorities are currently reviewing security camera footage in hopes of identifying and apprehending the suspects. As of the latest report, there is no update on Panitarn’s condition.
