Thai woman admits to Chinese man’s credit card theft in Pattaya

At some point in the film, it was the turn of a Thai woman to confess, saying that she was the one who stole the credit cards of a Chinese man before she decided to deny the theft. The thief went further to call the foreigner to be the rapist of the Thai woman at his bbq restaurant in Pattaya.

The complainant, Dihui Wu, a 33 year old from China, complained to the Bang Lamung Police Station personnel saying that a Thai lady, Darinrat, aged 31, who is later identified, stolen his mobile phone and used it to spend 32,815 Thai baht worth of gold in a shop.

Darinrat eventually admitted this and she said that she was told to visit a gold shop and take out 30,000 baht cash for Dihuy. Besides, she insisted she had handed the money to him and it is all true.

These were followed by accusations of the act of attempted rape in the man’s BBQ restaurant in Pattaya when Darinrat and Dihui were having some good time together. She claimed that it was through has only met Dihui on a dating site and, however they were not romantics and only caught up as friends.

Dihui vehemently denied the accusation, asserting that he was unaware of any money withdrawal and adamantly refuting the claim of attempted rape. He emphasized that Darinrat bore no resemblance to her dating app profile picture and clarified that he harbored no romantic interest in her, let alone a desire for intimacy.

Following a period of mutual blame, Darinrat ultimately admitted to the theft of the Chinese man’s credit cards for the purpose of withdrawing money from the gold shop. She publicly apologized for the turmoil and confusion she caused.

Darinrat faces potential imprisonment of up to five years, a fine of up to 100,000 baht, or both, for violating Section 269/5 of the Criminal Law, which pertains to the unauthorized use of another person’s credit card in a manner detrimental to the cardholder or the public.

In a parting message to Dihui, Darinrat remarked on his disparity with his dating profile image, noting his lack of hair compared to the depicted appearance. Nevertheless, she asserted her indifference to this difference, maintaining that she viewed him solely as a friend.

Denial and Accusations in Thai-Chinese Conflict

A Thai woman has refuted allegations of credit card theft from a Chinese man, counterclaiming that he attempted to sexually assault her at his BBQ establishment in Pattaya.

Dihui Wu Dihui, a 33-year-old Chinese national, lodged a report at Bang Lamung Police Station in Pattaya on March 13, alleging that a Thai woman he met on a dating app stole his credit cards, which were then used for a 32,815 baht transaction at a gold shop.

Additionally, the news outlet Esor News accused the woman of engaging in romance scams, alleging that she manipulated several men via dating apps, frequently changing her profiles to evade detection.

The accused woman, however, vehemently denied the allegations, asserting her innocence and claiming that Dihui attempted to sexually assault her on the same day as the incident.

During a press briefing on March 21, the woman disclosed that she initially met Dihui on a dating app and continued communication via WeChat, maintaining that they were merely friends without any romantic involvement.

She elaborated on her use of dating apps as a means to combat depression and social isolation, as she primarily operated an online bakery, limiting her interactions outside of her residence.

According to the woman’s account, Dihui invited her to his Pattaya BBQ restaurant on March 13, where she agreed to meet, perceiving no signs of suspicious or aggressive behavior.

Clarifying the events, the woman stated that Dihui requested her to withdraw 30,000 baht from his credit cards, guiding her to make withdrawals of 10,000 baht each at a gold shop, purportedly to purchase gold accessories that would later be resold for cash.

Upon complying with his instructions and returning to the restaurant, the woman alleged that Dihui made unwanted sexual advances, which she rebuffed. She claimed that Dihui attempted to force himself upon her multiple times, prompting her to seek refuge in the bustling streets of Bangkok after managing to escape his grasp.

Meanwhile, Dihui refuted the claims of sexual assault and expressed dissatisfaction over the disparity between the woman’s appearance and her dating profile. He reiterated the accusation of credit card theft against her.

Although police authorities confirmed ongoing investigations into the matter, further details were withheld pending conclusive findings.

Thai Woman’s Elusive Gold Heist

A Thai woman is currently evading authorities after absconding with credit cards belonging to a Chinese man, using them to procure two gold necklaces valued at approximately 33,000 baht from a Pattaya gold shop.

The 33-year-old Chinese national, Dihui Wu Dihui, reported the incident to Bang Lamung Police Station, recounting that the woman, whom he had met on a dating application during his stay in Bangkok, pilfered his credit cards while he was asleep.

Dihui recounted waking up on March 13 to discover the woman’s disappearance from their shared accommodation in a Soi Khao Talo hotel in Pattaya. Subsequently, he received notifications from his banks regarding the unauthorized use of his credit cards for the purchase of gold necklaces.

Thai police officer Sornsuphan Audthonsri-anan initially faced difficulty understanding Dihui’s complaint due to linguistic barriers. However, efforts were made to arrange a subsequent meeting with a Chinese interpreter, which Dihui failed to attend as scheduled.
