The incident was relayed to the Pattaya City Special Affairs Radio Centre shortly after midnight, prompting an immediate dispatch of officers to the scene, situated at the entrance of the Father Ray Foundation on Sukhumvit Road’s flyover.

Upon arrival, law enforcement found an unnamed Thai individual exhibiting erratic behavior and making incoherent statements. The man, believed to be in his thirties or forties, was attired in a football jersey and shorts.

Amidst efforts to restrain him, he purportedly made a move to attack an officer with a sharp object. Subsequently, he was apprehended and transported to the Pattaya Police Station for further handling.

Special Affairs Officer Kittiphan Bunchat recounted the incident, revealing that concerned citizens had contacted him about a man menacing pedestrians on the street. Bunchat narrowly avoided being injured by the agitated individual, skillfully evading the attempted assault.

“The incident was reported just after midnight, prompting officers to respond immediately to the scene at the Father Ray Foundation entrance on Sukhumvit Road’s flyover.”

In related news, local authorities managed to subdue a bewildered man wielding a knife and exhibiting aggressive behavior in Soi Thappraya 12, near Pattaya Park, on March 24th. Initially caught off guard, municipal officers were promptly reinforced by a specialized police unit equipped with riot control gear.

Witnesses described tense moments as law enforcement closed in on the individual, eventually cornering him in a nearby alley. The man has been identified as Wirasak Boontot, a 38-year-old resident of an abandoned building in the vicinity.

Authorities suspect that substance abuse may have been a contributing factor to his actions.
